After completing A Trip to the Colosseum I worked for many weeks on a major SP scenario for AOMTT called Restless. The project featured two cinematics and a game/scenario proper. Near the end of the project I began loosing interest in AOMTT and the lure of FPS game engines proved too powerful. As a result I abandoned Restless in October of 2004 and thus ended my AOMTT design career. In June of 2005 I was cleaning my hard disk and happened upon the Restless files. I remembered finishing the opening cinematic for the level and decided to watch it for old time's sake. The memories of Restless poured back but unfortunately my interest in AOM was still gone. Seemed a shame for Restless (the level) to never see the light of day, especially since its about 85% done. And while the level will likely never be published, I decided to post the Restless cinematic as one last personal addition to the AOMTT community. While Restless died, it inspired The Trials, the AOE3 incarnate. And The Trials is complete and published!!!

It is the time of our Ra, 312 cycles, 185 lunars. The Bunundian empire rests atop a heavenly body call Ascertaut Prime. A smaller body, Ascertaut Minor, appears in its sky for only one night every 300 cycles. Our clerics teach Ascertaut Minor has magical powers that can undo the past. So it was decreed, that on the night of its return, all Bunundians born 15 years prior to that day, enter the temple of Sahdra Kahb and seek out the legend of General Miracus. Prepare to undo the wrongs of the past.
